Our Process

Demand
Assess demand for generation, storage and other services by the National Electricity Market, and potential consumers both now and into the future.

Connection
Seek strong, stable, unconstrained parts of the existing grid into which to connect, close to the source of demand.

Resource
Review resource mapping for economic generation opportunities close to an appropriate connection point. The resource would then be verified during the development phase.

Land
Assess the cadastre, topography, land use, surrounding infrastructure, development overlays, traditional owners etc for complexity. An ideal project will have supportive landholders and traditional owners in areas with low population density, and low cultural significance. The project site also needs to be economically accessible for construction, equipment delivery while providing suitable topography for generation or storage.

Environment
Assess the proposed location and project scope for environmental impacts. An ideal location will see the project having limited environmental impacts that are not avoidable or manageable.

Regulatory
Assess the project demand, scope, location, environmental impacts against the regulatory environment to understand project development risks and timeline.

Financing
Identify and secure appropriate investment for development from origination to financial close. Prior to financial close, arrange project finance to fund the construction of the project including sourcing a Power Purchase Agreement, Capacity Trading Agreement or other revenue contract as required.
Our Projects
Partnered development projects
At the appropriate point during Origination or Development REP will seek a development partner for the project. A development partner will usually be a strategic partner that provides development or other services to the project as well as development funding, to assist the project in reaching Financial Close.
