As we move further into 2026, April has been a productive and engaging month for our team. From community events to key project milestones and environmental work, we’ve continued to build momentum across all areas of our development activities.

Energy Market Update – Industry Insights

On 21 April, we held the sixth event in our series of Energy Market Updates featuring Josh Stabler from Energy Edge, who delivered an insightful presentation on recent developments across the east coast electricity and gas markets, with a unique analysis on battery sizing and its role in the energy mix.

Josh’s deep expertise provided valuable context on market trends, pricing dynamics, and the broader energy transition. Some great questions were asked during the presentation, which was followed by networking over drinks and nibbles. We were pleased with the strong turnout and the quality of discussions throughout the evening.

Strengthening Community Partnerships in Renewable Energy

Recently, Luke Keys, REP’s General Manager – Projects and Connections, and Tom Benham, Development Manager, had the opportunity to attend a boardroom lunch hosted by Holding Redlich, where they engaged with Mayor Kelly Vea Vea of Isaac Regional Council. The discussion provided valuable insights into how the Council is supporting the integration of renewable energy developments within local communities, with a strong focus on fostering coexistence and creating long-term regional benefits. It was a great opportunity to hear firsthand about the strategies shaping sustainable growth in the region.

Driving Queensland’s Development: Insights from Deputy Premier Event

Luke McDonald, REP’s CEO, recently attended a Property Council of Australia twilight event hosted by Gadens, featuring Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie MP. The session highlighted key Queensland Government initiatives aimed at driving development across the state, with a particular focus on the important role of Economic Development Queensland in delivering these projects. The event provided valuable insights into the opportunities and strategic direction shaping Queensland’s growth.

Looking Ahead

April has highlighted the importance of collaboration, whether with our community, industry peers, or government stakeholders. As we move into the coming months, we remain focused on progressing our projects responsibly, transparently, and with long-term value in mind.

If you’d like to learn more or get in touch with the team, we’d welcome the conversation.
